Hey there,

YES most definitely! You can't say all Chinese people hate Japan but a lot of people that have went through what the Japanese did to the chinese or people that are very into China's history or someone that jsut happened to come across it one day may resent Japan,

Firstly  there are A LOT of things the Japanese have done, not just to Chinese people , they have done it to other Asian countries (with the exception of a few with other countries outside of Asia).

Japan was always a strong powerful country , brilliant army , good weapons that was far ahead of many countries, I do not know everything the japanese did to the chinese but i have heard some pretty disturbing history between the japanese and the chinese.

One example that made me dislike japan was ' the nanking ' or nanjing massacre. At one stage i was doing a lot of research about this , the japanese killed a total of more than 200 000 chinese people.

I do not want to go into details but if you decide to see what it is , its the saddest and probably disturbing massacre I've heard so far . But although many chinese people dislike/hate the japanese for that they did, many in the modern younger generation do not usually care about it very much , and the nanking massacre for example hasn't been very known, as the Jewish genocide was more widely covered in the past few decades.

But I promise you , the nanking massacre is something that i would reckon as worse, so back onto the topic: China and Japan have had lots of tension and war between them, but right now they are at peace together... Well i hope!
