Is there any possibility that King Arthur was actually a real king? And there is some truth to the Arthurian legend?

Hey Addi, you have strayed into Ray  territory. There is no evidence for a British "King" Arthur. BUT, there is real evidence for three of the characters from the "Legend" - Gawain, Tristram and King Mark, are certainly rooted in history. There is a hill fort near Queens Camel "Camelot"? That shows archaeological evidence of a Romano-Christian "castle" built at the top. I could go on for hours (yes, I am that sad) .. So, believe in Arthur  (Artorius in the Latin scripted legends) if you wish. Perhaps he did exist. I deeply hope he did.

I'd be happy to share a link on Blurtit's social media profiles too if you'd allow it.
With the popularity of the TV show, would be interesting to find out a bit more about the actual lengend behind it

I would love that Ray!! and I just bought a book from the book store on the 'real Arthurian legend' and a book about Lancelot... sadly there's no mention of Merlin in any of them :/ lol But that would be great Ray!
