Is there room for debate on the pressures faced by our youth to conform to the norms of society and its stereotypical groups in order to make friends and be accepted? Will there be a time when we are not judged by appearance or social status?

I think there is always room to debate anything! That being said, here's my two cents: Unfortunately, I believe there will always be people who judge others by their appearance, and/or social status. I would hope that kids growing up today could accept themselves for who they are and not worry about what others say, wear what they want, have the friends they want.....but unfortunately, I think there will always be someone to judge.
