I guess the problem is human in nature. Coupled maybe with some logistical issues, and pressure caused by overpopulation..

The truth is though, that the Earth has ample resources to feed everyone on the planet.

Unfortunately, the resources we end up having access to largely depend on what part of the planet we happen to be born on...

Because, as well as all the geographic boundaries of our planet, we've also erected political boundaries too, which prevent natural resources from being shared out equally.

This leads to some people having plenty of food, while others go hungry.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying, but it must look pretty strange to aliens looking down at our planet from space!

Hi, I know it is very painful... In India, too we are facing this problem on a very large scale.. One of my friends, who works in Ponty Chadha Foundation once told me that.. The situation is really bad..but there are many organisations like PCF which are working for the betterment of the society. We hope we can utilize the food in the best possible manner so that no one is left hungry..

No one should suffer from starving. I get too upset when I see them adults, kids over in them countries and they have big stomachs cause they are suffering from severe malnutrition...

There families where the kids go walking from early hours in the morning to late noon only to come back with little bit of water and 1 -2 loafs of bread and they gotta split that with the whole family. People need to realize some countries have it better than others.

Yes! I agree there are many people who live hand to mouth in India. Starvation is a big disease in our country. Even I work in this direction. Once I visited Ponty Chadha Foundation with my college friends and saw how great efforts PCF people are making to eradicate starvation in India by distribution of essential food grains such as rice and wheat and high energy biscuits and cookies to the underprivileged communities.
