And currently, there are 22 countries who have female leaders in power today... From Angela Merkel in Germany to Prime Minister Prime Portia Simpson Miller in Jamaica.

For a country that is progressive in many ways, it's kind of disappointing that many Americans are probably asking themselves whether they are "ready" for a female president, now that Hillary Clinton has thrown her hat into the ring.

If a woman proves herself to be the best person for the job opening in the White House, then picking someone else just because they are male would be a big disservice to the entire country.
