Why are people, not everyone, so reckless nowadays? Nobody puts thought into their actions, I think a lot but still manage to make people mad. *smirk*

I'll try to give a short answer. The rest can be discussed over a few fine craft beers. ;D

From my points of view - Recklessness comes mainly from the faster rhythm of today's life. More things to think about, disorganization, problems etc.

Then, it also comes from the artificially inflated ego. Many parents raise their children with the idea that "they are the best!". Which is okay until one point, but if you continue to do it after the age of 5-6, then it becomes a problem. It gets imprinted in the child's brain and stays there and affects lots of their actions in the future. This is also one of the reasons people are so sensitive and entitled to their own opinions.

And that's that.

Recklessness has been around since the beginning of time. It's nothing new.  However, the 'standard' set by today's society pales in comparison to yesteryear .. Especicially when it comes to risk takers, adrenaline junkies or even simple social media challenges.

I don't think there has EVER been a time before where someone would purposely do something so damaging to themselves or their friends for the sheer purpose of sharing it on youtube.  If you ask me .. The stupidity of it all is obtuse.
