I don't see the point - I never have - of going somewhere and shooting up a mall, a movie theatre, a college, a school, a church, a bank - you name it. If you don't write about it in the paper, then everyone gets mad because you didn't write about the news.
On the other hand, you're bringing another shooting to light to the public. So the killer(s) get their names in the paper; people mourn the victims; and you have everyone shouting for more gun control.
Perhaps we should talk about bullying and more effective solutions. Shaming someone or bullying someone into committing suicide seems to be epidemic.
Let's talk about the lack of real mental health facilities for people that need intervention and help. Closing down most of the facilities certainly didn't help matters.
I don't know what the answer is to stopping all the shootings, but it really makes me mad when someone has a problem, they get a gun or a knife or a machete and they go out and target someone else.
