Most of us live quietly, enjoy our lives, our families and our toys.

No. It is going into the landfill or back to whoever wanted me to store it for them. The fact is I figure I can start a fire on cold mornings with old tax records and financial statements from the 70s and kids school stuff from back then can be picked up by their owners. My grandmother and mothers stuff can be doled out to grandkids and the rest .... the trashman can have.
Oh and I scrimped and paid for everything in payments over time. Took me years and careful planning, but ok I have more than a homeless vagrant but affluent to me is being able to buy outright whatever catches the fancy.

It's their money, they've earned it, I hope they enjoy it.

So they should do what? If they earned their money illegally they should go to jail. If they inherited the money, it's still their money.

I grew up in a family that had lost everything in the Great Depression. I wanted to be rich "when I grew up" so that I could own my own house and a car.

Well, I have both of those things so, by my own definition, I'm rich. I like me just fine.

Of course, by comparison to third-world standards, all of us living in the West are rich. So what do you think of us, Megan?

One of the smarter things Paul wrote in the Bible was, "I have learned, whatever state I'm in, to be content." It's a lesson worth knowing.

There are good and bad sides to all people, rich, not so rich and the poor. You just can't generalize.

You know who I am so let me ask you this , if I was a Millionaire, would you think differently of me?  True, some people let money go to their heads and become snobs and treat those under them like theyre so much better but money doesn't buy everything so if you have money, more power to you.  FYI, I had millions up til about 1978 when I gave 7.8 million to a Crippled Childrens Hospital to help pay for a surgical and rehab wing and don't regret ever doing it  but I can say Ive been there so I know what Im talking about

Me too Otis! There would not be a safe place for a puppy mill to operate or the people who ran it if I won one of those 100 million dollar lotteries. AND Veal farms Oooohhhhh! I would spend every dime on saving them from that kind of torture.

I cannot give an opinion an a generalization. Some rich are nice people and share their wealth through charities and other organizations. The a re nice, well mannered people who do not flaunt their wealth and worked hard to get it. Then there are others who became wealthy through crooked ways and are rude, narcissists.  Then you have those that have inherited their wealth. Some have as inherited a sense of entitlement with it while others have learned that they are fortunate and are kind and generous.

I have met rich people from all over the world while teaching gold panning at street festivals in Colorado. Before that I knew rich people in Hollywood, LA, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, The Valley.....etc.

I have found that to meet them on the street is to never know the difference between them and me financially unless you look at the size of the rocks in their watches and rings. They are.... As a Dogma Standard Rating... Courteous, say thank you, and don't give me weird looks while I teach them and make their kids and husbands round eyed at their own ability to find gold at the bottom of a pan of sand.

In general they are just FOLKS in their own right.

There are good and bad rich people, middle class and poor people.  No matter what their Financial status is, all people should be treated the way we would want to be treated. Matthew 7:12

Some rich people can be bad. But the poor can be really nice. A homeless man once got i believe it was either 100 euro's or dollars. Afterwards he gave i think it was 75% to another homeless man. Btw i dont mean all rich people are bad, just some. Take for example vladimir putin, he isn't bad, just look at this
