It's difficult to know what you want since we don't know who you are, where you are, what you're trying to discover (the "question" is too vague), and why (course assignment? General search for knowledge?) You might like to tell us a little more and, at least, which country you're in.
Society philosophers? You could Google names like Sartre, Marx, Plato, Mill, Russell, Lao Tzu, Christ, Ancient Hippy, Omar Khayyam, Muhammed, Siddartha Gautama, and a thousand others. All of them are recognised philosophers; all of them made an impact on society.
