Would I be racist if I said that I don't like African-American movies?

I don't think so. I used to be a frequent visitor to India, which has the largest movie industry in the world.  I like India, I like the people and I like the place - but, (sorry Indian friends) the movies suck.

No, its a matter of choice we choose what we like.

I don't like Indian, Vietnamese, some White, some Black, War, Horror, Julia Roberts, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Extreme Violence, Dumber and Dumber type, French with subtitles, British, Chinese and Japanese movies.

If you don't like movies with African-Americans or BET, that's your choice and I say don't watch and turn the channel.

Oh thanks Zack. I wouldn't say it's necessarily racist, but i don't really think that point makes sense. How would skin color affect the quality and story of a movie, since that's the point of the movie in the first place.

You never see or hear of a movie with an all black cast that's EPIC and makes a ton of cash. Some movies with an all black cast are relegated to small movies on tv. Well, there was ROOTS, but that was soooooooooooo long ago and still on tv.

Great movie with all black actors is Redtails ! Excellent movie ! Just one of many. Good movies man. You would be missing out on some good entertainment !

I would have to agree with you, my friend. I haven't seen any movies with an all African-American cast that I've liked. On the other hand, tv shows such as Family Matters with an all African-American cast, I enjoyed.

I think it is more racist to lump all African-American movies into one class of movies. You can't really lump "The Bulter" in with the "Medea Goes to Jail".
