If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?

My favorite party was when the world ended with the Mayan calendar.  We chose to have zombies bring on the apocalypse.  Sooo fun!!!!

My daughter had a pirate party for her Sweet 16.  I decorated a huge sheet cake to look like the Jolly Roger.  The invitations were treasure maps.  (We live in the country and people need maps to find us!)  I turned the basement into a desert island.  What a hoot!

I'd throw a hippie pizza party. Tie dye required, bell bottoms a must and no bras allowed.

When we were kids, we had "Come as you are" parties.  You would come to a "party" as you are ... On a moment's notice.  Not always easy when you're an adult .. But fun to just be able to come and relax and not worry about what to wear or who's going to be there or what to bring.  Just come over and enjoy everyone's company.

Some years ago, a Blurtit party was suggested here in the UK (In those days most of the contributors were "bl**dy Brits") - it never happened of course. Such ideas rarely become real.

BUT now you have a lot of members in the US, you ought to try to organize something, Blurtit could be a community again. Sadly, from many thousands of miles away, I shall not be there.
