I saw a speech by Ted Cruz. He said Iranians celebrate a national day of death to America. As an Iranian I say we have no such thing! Did you believe it? Is Cruz that kindda liar?

During the cold war I once worked with the chargé d'affaires of one of the Eastern Bloc embassies. One of my associates asked him, "What kind of lies do you tell your people about us?" And he replied, "About the same kind of lies your leaders tell you about us."

It was true enough.

It's in the nature of politicians to lie, especially when there's an election coming up. When the prize is the White House the lies become much more blatant. Intelligent people don't believe them but their followers are not very discriminating.

It happens in all countries.

I personally, wouldn't believe a word that swarmy liar said. All Americans do not believe everything they hear (especially from politicians).

Politicians are notorious liars. I didn't believe squat.

First of all thank you for the kind words. But still I should say you are in ignorance just like many other people who spread hatred in the world (I mean both Iranians and Americans).

Second of all, I have never ever gathered in street to chant death to any country. This happens in my country and I am not happy about it. You did not understand my question in the first place. I did nit claim that no one ever chants those hateful chants. All I said was that Ted Cruze claimed that there is an OFFICIAL DEATH TO AMERICA day! And I said we have no such thing! The gatherings you mentioned all happen on Iran national day. I am not happy about that either but still it is a LIE to say we have a national death to America day!

I have said it a million times before, but I think I need to say it again. Iranians as most chant death to America a few times a year and yes they burn your flag (both of which are very rude and also I would never defend what they do cause it is against my belief to insult any nation), but Americans have killed many Iranians in blatant terrorist attacks and no one, not even here, has ever appologized for it, and now we are the bad people for just a chant( although I appologize to all the Americans for it). It would be good if an American appologized for killing hundreds of innocent Iranians who were killed by American Army in a civilian plane terrorist attack. That would calm the pain at least in my heart.

Other that that, I love all the American people and I wish we will be good friends once again

With all due respect. I know you're a good person. But Ted Cruz said the truth. And how it's not a national holiday, while you guys gather on streets in a particular "day" "every year" and scream "Death do America"

You are my friend but your country is my enemy . Your government is our enemy. However, our truth enemy is England, England is behind your current government's creation. And the only reason your current government has so much hate over U.S is because the former kingdom of Iran used to be a good friend with U.S specially with John F. Kennedy. England is still burning off of our independence and how we kicked them out of our country.
