I voted early and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. In my county you fill out a computer card and then put it into a reader. Most people chat a bit with the attendant while entering the card. The young lady next to me was voting for the first time and the attendant announced it to room. Everyone cheered and clapped.

Will the outcome of this election be revealed on 9/11 or in America 11/9 now that's just a little bit crazy, I think anyway, but then I have a touch of the superstition in me no matter how logical I can be.
I don't vote I'm in England, I do soak the floor of the bathroom on your voting day though, I accidently broke the shower head and then wrestled with the hose.
Surprisingly uneventful for us..... Now I really AM suspicious cuz.... You know.... The hush in the storm before the REAL storm comes!
Totally uneventful. I did notice and mentioned to Mrs. Ancient it was very quiet, errie even. All you heard was the sound of shuffling feet. It was a consistant long single line of about 60. You checked in at the desk received a card, went to another desk and was handed a long paper ballot that you filled in. Then you went to another desk where you inserted the ballot into a reader and that was it. Then there was the sensation of a heavy weight being lifted from your shoulders.
It's already tomorrow in Ausrralia and since I'm not entitled to vote in the US Mrs Didge and I are going out for lunch to celebrate the first day of the end of the world.
Nope. Line was smaller than I was expecting, so that was a relief. Otherwise uneventful--just doin' my patriotic duty :)
