I saw a story this morning about a new company that is fishing the plastic out of the ocean and recycling it. They are making bracelets which they sell to raise money to fish more plastic out of the ocean. In 18 months they have grown from two surfers picking trash up on beach, to a company that employs 150 people in 3 countries, with plans to expand. The company is called 4Ocean.
People with Down Syndrome and autism are receiving more acceptance and respect than ever before. (Being the mom of a wonderful daughter with DS, this is a big deal to me.)
