I’d say probably radio, as it opened the whole world to real-time, wireless mass communication, which was prelude to TV and the internet.

Antibiotics would have to be in the discussion too.

Cell Phones have replaced lot of regular home phone services with people  with cell phone you can call long distance in the United States and have no charges . You can text message someone . Regular home phone service is just a scheme you got pay for Internet to have one just costs people too much money.
