......National Walk to School Day, National Pumpkin Seed Day, and National Coffee with a Cop Day.

All good.

I find it interesting however, in a affluent town Northwest of us a couple was cited by CPS for child endangerment. Why? They let and encouraged their 6 and 7 year old children to walk six blocks to school on their own. In today's environment letting children walk alone or even letting them play in the front yard can be dangerous. EAch situation is different.

A great day ... I'm in!  (Although the "misting" gets a little out of hand at our local grocery store .... Sometimes I get drenched trying to grab the asparagus!)

My kids walk to the kitchen table for school! 😅

Our van's name is Carlsbad. Named after our favorite beach.

I like pumpkin seeds.

And I'd have coffee with a cop if one would let me. 😊

This sounds like a great day , i remembered me and my sister attended Lincoln School we would walk to school from Kindergarten to 5th grade for me and Kindergarten to third grade for my sister than they combined elementary schools together in the old high school and closed down the small grade schools to save money plus the schools was pretty old. We attended Lincoln School named after honest Abe ( President Lincoln ) I'm in this day for Scallops . I like Pumpkin seeds to eat they are good . .But my Mother would watch me and my sister going to school to make sure we made there even thou it was like 5 minutes from our house.  I'm in it for the rest of this day . Thank you for Question of the Day :) 🙏😇

I am in for the custodial worker's recognition day. These people pick up after all of us. Some more than others.

I belong to a local community Fb page. Someone complained because while dropping their child off at high school another kid dropped a food wrapper and kept walking. When they let the kid know he dropped the wrapper thinking it was an accident, the kid replied that it was the janitor's job to pick it up.. This person was on Fb to let parents know this is not to raise a child.

My comment to the post was that I  would have picked the wrapper up given it back to the kid and informed him what the janitor's job really is. It is to empty the trash can that his wrapper should be placed in.

As for naming your car, I never named my car, but I named my husband's. He ordered an SUV and thought he was getting one shade of green, but when it showed up it was a different shade. It was Army green, aka Olive Drab, or O.D. Green. So I named it Odie.

I named my RV too. She has a red swirl, so her first name is Ruby. Her middle name is Ghlee, after my grandmother who took me camping for the first time.
