I believe canada should remain a mixed economy because without government involvement, we wouldn't have free health care, or pension plans. Also, the US motto is "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". This means that US citizens only want what's best for them as individuals. Their whole reason for their belief of their motto is because of how they became independant. They were able to accomplish this by fighting for their rights and freedom from Britain when the US wasnt a country yet. They don't care about the whole group. Canada's motto is "peace, order, and good government." Our motto was inspired by how both the french and the british worked together negotiated when the British won the fight for canada.this means that both the individuals and the government work together to improve the quality of life for those who live in the country. That is why Canada should remain a mixed economy. It's just better that way!! - A.J.
