3 days after good friday
After the vernal equinox has taken place Easter will fall on the first Sunday that follows an ecclesiastical full moon. Easter can never fall after the 25th of April nor can it fall before the 22nd of March. The current rules that are followed regarding the ecclesiastical rules were set up in 325 CE at what was known as the Council of Nicaea. It was decided by the council to hold Easter every year on Sunday. Special tables were created by the clergy to determine on what day Easter should fall upon. The Easter according to the Eastern Christian churches is still based on the Julian calendar. Easter will fall on the 8th of April this year, on the 23rd of March in 2009, on the 31st of March in 2013.
