Queens in the Medieval times were generally schooled in Royal duties. They also were expected to be able to run a large household and were responsible for the food supplies. They were expected to excel in needlework and other cloth making skills. Generally Queens had little or no say as to whom they married, they're marriages were for political and Royal reasons, to create Allies and to guarantee peace between nations. They were taught to be submissive to their husbands in all matters concerning State privilege, and Royal prerogatives. Personal happiness was not considered a priority for them.
To strengthen alliances between countries, to bear children and to govern the house, and see to the needs of important guests. Noble Women during that time were also expected to be skilled in needlework or some sort of fabric making. I am sure they helped the King with advice if asked, but Mostly they were Heads of the household.
