In 1305 William Wallace was in hiding for more than a month near Glasgow where he was hoping to meet with Robert The Bruce. Wallace was betrayed and captured by Scottish Knights in the employ of Edward, King of England. While it is not known who betrayed Wallace it is accepted that Bruce knew of Wallace's whereabouts and may have inadvertently disclosed the location. Draw your own conclusion. The legend lives!
