On this day in 1968, Dr Martin Luther King was shot and killed at the Motel Lorraine, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot by James Earl Ray, a drifting criminal. Ray was arrested in London, trying to get to Belgium on his way to Rhodedia. Many argue that Ray may have pulled the trigger, but didn't really have the motive or intent to kill Dr King.
On this day in 1996, Jaguar motors, introduced the sexy, sporty convertible Jaguar, the SK8 at the New York International Auto Show.
