She DID NOT survive. She was missing from the grave her family was buried in and her brother was missing as well. So people beleived she was still alive. A host of sevral con-artist took in girls of the right age to fake being her to collect reward money but almost all were proved false. One did have inside information on the real dutches that was hard to gather by research alone but She died of old age before they could prove she was who she said she she was (This same woman was know to have a mental disability and attemted to commit suicide once). Later a grave was found sevral hundred yards away from the origianal site. The grave contained two bodies, one of a younge boy and girl. The cause of dead was never known but the hair of the woman who claimed to be the dutches was takin to be analyzed and was proved to not be her. DNA testing as done on the bones and everything matched up. The date of death, Age, Bone condition, and area away from the rest of the bodys marched up.

It is theorized that she ran of with her brother but was caught shortly after her mother, father and other siblings. They were killed than buried a few hundred yards away from her family.

This was proven over and over again but the media continues to spin the story for movies and other forms of media. Rumors are put out on purpose to confuse the public into looking deeper into anything about her. Including Fiction-fantasy novels and films that are PURE FICTION.

Anastasia Romanov did NOT survive the execution. She and one of her other sisters and her brother, Alexei and Maria, survived the initial hail of gunfire. The Russian soldiers then left the room to allow the smoke to clear. When they returned, they saw that Anastasia and Maria were still hanging onto life. Two soldiers took their bayonets and repeatedly stabbed the two young women until it was thought they were dead. As the bodies were being removed from the room, one of the sisters moaned and the brother screamed in pain, while Maria died. When the bodies were dumped at the burial site, they realized two bodies were missing. It has been proved by two skeletons near the site of the original Romanov burial that Anastasia and Alexei crawled away a few hundred feet, but the effects of their wounds killed them quickly. This answer is actually true,
It is unknown whether she survived or not. Some people say she escaped, but I personally don't think so. I think she along with the rest of her family was shot in the middle of the night in Siberia
