Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, but the name of the fund has
now been changed to United Nations Children's Fund. The acronym has not been
changed because of its popularity. The purpose of creating this fund was to
provide the children affected by the World War II with food and healthcare
facilities. Various donations are given to the fund, mostly by governments and
UNICEF employs these funds in helping children in areas where help is needed. The
