The murder of Native American Indians upon their own soil, or in robbing them of their country, just like the mexicans.

The annexed territories contained about 1,000 Mexican families in Alta California and 7,000 in Nuevo México.[citation needed] A few relocated further south in Mexico; the great majority remained in the United States. Descendants of these Mexican families have risen to prominence in American life and live in lands that were once Mexico. Just like the American Indian was stripped from their holy lands.
