There are quite a few, packed into the calendar and promoted by a lot of different charities, pressure groups and health-related institutions. Some of these occur several times on the calendar; for instance, there are at least two "bug-busting days" (for getting rid of head lice).
There's no real authority to issue these "official" awareness days, they are just suggested and then promoted by specific interested bodies.
