I remember when A Michigan court prohibited Dr Jack Kevorkian from assisting in suicides.

Notre Dame became the 1st team to sell its game to a major network (NBC)

Whoever could forget September 11th of 1991? I had a young cousin Theresa killed in the Pentagon. For sure this was a tragic day for so many good people.

Brook Lee, Hawaii, was crowned 46th Miss USA (en route to Miss Universe).

All American Bowl ended after 14 years.

Joni Mitchel was inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame.

Jury selection began in the LA cops beating Rodney King case.

A grenade explodes in Sarajevo, killing 63 & injuring 160.

Some of the biggest world events of the 1990's were these:

In Scotland cloning was discovered and we had Dolly the sheep as a result of this.
The Hubble Telescope came into it's own and as a result images from space were relayed back to earth, images that had previously been unavailble.
It was thought that as a result of the Millenium Bug or Y2K the worlds computer systems might crash at midnight on 31 December 1991. It didn't happen!
The Gulf War began when Iraq invaded Kuwait on 2nd August 1990, a conflict which lead to NATO involvement and subsequent ceasefire.
On 2 nd July 1990, Kosova declared independence
In 1996 - 1999 There was conflict between Serbian and Yougslav security forces and the Kosovo Liberation Army, NATO was drawn into the conflict.
Here in the UK and around the world the death of Diana Princess of Wales was a major event when she and her boyfriend and their driver were killed in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997. Elton John song 'Candle in the Wind' which he played at her funeral became a massive hit once more.

...that is a lot of wars.... I'm doing a project on the 90's and need some help finding Big companies/businesses of the 90's. And also some big events and or history changing events that isn't a war??? Possibly?
