There is no set scheme for a 60th birthday that you should follow; and using themes such as black, white, silver or gold will add a touch of class to the celebrations. These classic colours are a great way to make parties seem sophisticated, which is perfectly suitable for a 60th birthday. A black-and-white decor will be great for a particularly nostalgic do, whereby black and white photos of the early life of the individual can be used to decorate the venue of the 60th birthday party without looking out of place.

Black, coupled with either gold or silver, is just another great option that adds to the style of the 60th birthday celebrations. Large metal ‘60’ symbols can be bought from many card shops, which can be used on the walls or dangled from the ceilings. You can also purchase gold and silver ‘60’ confetti, which can be sprinkled on the tables to add a touch of charisma to the places where everybody is going to sit.

You can add collages of photos of the life of the person whose birthday you are celebrating in silver or gold frames to tables across the venue. These colours are generally used for ‘over the hill’ birthday celebrations, given that they’re more sophisticated, and not quite as ‘energetic’ as bright reds, blues and pinks.

Purple and blue are good colours to use, too. These are other colours to consider, as many of the decorations you will purchase, like centrepieces and banners, will have festive patterns that lean into blue and purple colours.

Be sure not to use boring colours, like pastels. Pastel will create a subdued and slow-paced atmosphere, which is not desirable in any party, no matter the age of the host. Get the colours right, and your party will have a fantastic atmosphere.

If you are celebrating the 60th birthday, the color theme should be bright and colorful like all the other birthday parties. And the dresses should also match with the overall enviornment

You want the color of your 60th birthday to be bright and that makes you feel young ( you still are ) and that overall turns your day into something fantastic. I would suggest a pale pink with a brown . . . . . .or yellow and orange for sunshine. Make sure to color match your outfit with a dress or if your a male your shirt.
