The Nile River flooded once a year, very predictable because of melting snow. The once melted snow would bring silt to the rivers bank which was good for farming. Also, the river brought ducks to the marshes and the fish to the water. They used papyrus, a reed like material to make rope, matting, sandals, baskets, and paper! And of course, they had water.

The egyptians built boats to travel up and down the nile. They used the nile for transportation, food, and trading things with other people along the nile or in different countries. In the Nile river there is plenty of fish, crocodile, hippopotamuses, and many types of water birds. If there are any other questions then ask me!!!! I'm an expert!
