Can You Cash A Check Written Prior To Death After The Person Is Deceased?

Yes.  The check reflects the intention of the living person to make payment with funds believed to be available at the time it is written.  Estates of deceased persons do not include funds against which checks have already been written, and check recipients are not presumed to know that the payor has died.
