The suffragettes got publicity by:

Going on hunger strike and getting force feed through the nose.
One women even through herself under the kings horse and died.
They were very violent.
They burnt peoples houses but before doing that actually checked to see if anyone was in the house.
AND THEY ALL DID THIS JUST TO BE ALLOWED TO GIVE A VOTE!111

The suffragettes founded by Emmeline Pankhurst in 1903, was a peaceful start but how did they get publicity?

The suffragettes started becoming more and more violent which automatically brings more attention and some went on hunger strike... Towards  the end of the protest before women got the vote suffragist Emily Davison threw herself under King Edward's horse AMNER and jockey Herbert Jones. She was hurled some distance behind the horse as it stumbled and fell but luckily herbert jones was able to make a quick escape and got away with minor injuries. But Emily Davison died, not many people know why she did it but after that she was made a Martyr.
