In America there is no specific date when a Thanks Giving Day is celebrated, as every year in the month of November, the forth Thursday of the month is observed and celebrated as the Thanks Giving Day which is followed by a holiday. Thanks Giving festival was not celebrated in the earlier times, but it was celebrated as a harvest festivals. This day is observed in order to give thanks to the harvest of the year that has past year. Though this festival was not referred to as the thanks giving festival, since 1621, it was celebrated in parts of Wampanoag as well as English, in the form of Harvest festival. Both the places had traditions that were much similar.
