Cost of Government Day" fell on Aug. 12 this year, meaning the average American worked until that date to pay for government spending and regulations. What do you think?

Well the American people have Obama to thank for that, as his administration has had three successive record-setting years of federal regulation and spending ( an increase of over 21% for 1977-2008 ).I find it rather ironic that America celebrates Independence Day to recognise its freedom from British repression and regulation. While the typical American works until the middle of August, contributing 61% of national income to pay for Obama's "big government".A celebration, when in fact the US is still more than a month away from being really free from the tax and regulatory burden of Obama's administration.
