Given the massive destructive damage of the recent tornados, I guess they would hardly be jumping or Shouting for joy.
Perhaps they may be uttering a small sigh of relief that they are not being forgotten about in their great grief and misery.

Don't know if FEMA ever showed up at all. They were helped in their distress mostly by their friends and neighbors and people from all over the country as happened to New Orleans. The difference was that they didn't demand $ Billions nor blame everyone else or rob their neighborhood businesses.

No they did not, as FEMA did not provide any clearly-defined telling help. All the agency did was to urge the residents of Joplin. MO to register with FEMA to determine what kind of assistance they were entitled to.This registration was to be via phone or online which is totally redundant, because there was no power or online communications services available to register in the first place.

I think they did ask for some temporary housing. These good people were nothing like what happened in New Orleans - no lootinng, no firing at helicopters,no demands for billions of dollars.
