Because it's a no win situation. If the rebels win, most of them are associated with Terrorist groups. We have never been friendly with the present Syrian government. Either side you back, there is no benefit to helping them.

I hear where you're coming from, but I have to say the idea that most of the rebels are associated with terrorist groups is just propaganda the Syrian government is trying to promote.

The vast majority of Syrians are simply civilians that oppose the government and don't want to live under a dictatorship.

Most people that offered any resistance to the initial government massacres were army defectors.

But because the rest of the world didn't intervene, there was a power vacuum created, and extreme Islamist groups have started flooding in from other countries.

Now the real rebels have a two-sided battle against crazy terrorist groups and the superiorly armed Syrian army, and that suits the government just fine.

As for the benefits of getting involved, how about oil and natural gas? The Russians vetoed UN action and are supplying the Syrian government with weapons.

And then all of a suddenly they're signing deals like this: http://rt.com/business/syria-oil-gas-russia-795/

I think,The reason of they don't help there, because of keeping peace and saving economy of their country and avoiding many dead people and soldiers .it 's disastrous, if a country 's in war.

But peace is non-existent there anyway now... and more than 140,000 people have been killed. Surely there comes a point where going to war to prevent more murder makes sense?

Stop the war, discuss between both of them for to be peace. that's only my point of view.
