In a town close to me, we have the Pottstown Rumble. It's a grass volleyball tournament with 150 nets. Last year it drew 3,200 players.

We have the Dixie Classic Fair. It starts October 2nd and ends October 11th. I haven't been in years. My wife and I are considering attending the demolition derby this year. She knows one of the drivers. Best of luck to you!

Too many to name! This weekend is the annual Fall crafts show. Not only do we have a Christmas Parade like most towns (Ours is at night so people can use Christmas lights.), we also have a Boat parade. Spring and fall art shows, A thing called Tropical Nights, where downtown is blocked off and everyone break out their hula skirts and bands play. There is also a homegrown music festival.

But my favorite is coming up Homecoming Weekend! We are a small city and have only one High School. When the football team has their homecoming each year, all the classes that have reunions do them that week end. The high school hosts a tea for the returning classes on Friday morning, and the best skits from the pep rally the night before are preformed for the returning alumni. At 2pm that day the Homecoming Parade starts. The first part of the parade is for the current students. The second part is the returning alumni. It is the one time a year that the cops ignore the open container law. Many of the classes are large enough to sit on a flat bed trailer of an 18-wheeler, and they put kegs in between the bales of hay and have a good time. They throw candy or beads to the parade watchers. Then before the game there is a pre-game party, then the game, and the post game party. Saturday each class does their own party. We still have people showing up from classes that graduated in the 1920s. They don't use a truck, for their class in the parade. They usually used antique cars. The whole town gets involved and it really is a lit of fun. This year is my reunion, and the fun is next weekend!
