Should Donald Trump win the presidency next November? What would be the likely effect on world politics as mavericks in the White House and the Kremlin vie for supremacy?

He won't win.  He has a small core of racist supporters.  He is a master at pandering.  He will drop out eventually.  This is the worst field of Republicans in history. The worst is Ben Carson.

He won't never win!

With respect of those who supporting this man.

But i don't understand what this man has to offer to be worthy of people's support ?

His behaviors represent and teach people how to be ignorant, rude, empty of morale, manner and personality, how to mock and act impolitely. How to disrespect and spread hatred. How to be sexism, racism and a symbol of disgrace.

And this is how he wants to make America great again ?

PLEASE! America is so much great already and will be greater at least without him.

"he won't never win" = double negative = "he will win" ;)

I don't understand either, Matt. I doubt that he has the talent to be a politician and he has none of the gifts of a statesman or a national leader.

In my opinion, the rift between US and Islam countries would widen. The US allies would back off from the US until the US stood alone. There could even be a possibility of internal strife in the US similar to the civil war.

I think you're right about international relationships ... to a point, anyway. Civil war? Hardly. That would benefit nobody. But I should think his election would give momentum to a lot of radical groups.

According to a panel of Republican and Democrat pundits I was watching the other day ... There are plans among those who control the Republican Party to prevent Trump from getting the nomination.  Mainly through means of either strictly enforcing existing rules which aren't normally - or putting new rules in place.

While I don't care for Trump ... If the Republican Party does those things, I hope it gets the news coverage it deserves.  It would be a REAL example of "stealing votes" (as opposed to voting Libertarian).
