People don't understand that "freedom of speech" does not mean "freedom from consequences".
Why do some people believe freedom of speech gives them the right to be sexist, racist, ageist, etc?
"Freedom of Speech" has NOTHING to do with what someone thinks or believes. It only allows them to tell others of those thoughts/beliefs.
Being bigoted in any way is "Freedom of Thought" ... And there is no way to regulate what someone is thinking. If there were, there would be NO freedoms.
Freedom of Speech has nothing to do with someone being Racism, Sexism, ect . . .these are principles and individual thoughts and believes. But they express it and they has the right to express cause there's "Freedom of speech" but if it's an appropriate behavior or not. It's a complete different case.
