I was working for USDA in 95. We had several floors in the Murrah Federal Building. A total of 168 people were killed that morning 19 April 1995. The saddest  most gut wrenching aspect for me was the fact, the day care center was on the first floor. It was in direct line with the parked rental truck. Nineteen children including enfants were murdered that morning. I can't say any more.

I was off work the day of the Oklahoma City bombing. I was sorting papers on my living room floor when the need broke. I just sat there crying. All I could think was, "This is America. This isn't supposed to happen here." I am glad I  didn't know then that it wouldn't be the last time such things happened. I may have just crawled into a hole. The one image that sticks with me is the one of a small child in a diaper being pulled from the rubble. It still makes me cry.
