There appear to be several ways in which you could contact Colin Powell. If you are interested in hiring Mr Powell for a speaking engagement, then perhaps the best way to contact him is through the Washington Speakers Bureau where you will be asked to complete a form, stating the details of your speaking event along with your budget.
Mr Powell of course is one of the most respected and admired statesmen in the United States. A retired General, Colin Powell served as the 65th Secretary of State during the George W Bush administration and is to date the only African American to have served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
During his time in the military, which spanned 35 years, he was actively involved during the conflicts in Vietnam, Panama and the Gulf. Powell was awarded, amongst other medals and decorations, the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Now a popular speaker and commentator, Powell is also the author of My American Journey (with Joseph E. Persico). His popularity and fame mean that you can apparently also contact him by fan mail - Fanmail.biz lists his contact address as: 909 North Washington Street, Suite 767, Alexandria, VA 22314, USA.
During his time in politics, it was often thought that Colin Powell would eventually become a presidential candidate but this never materialised and America was left to wonder 'what if?'
Some well known quotes from Colin Powell:
"Get mad, then get over it."
"The freedom to do your best means nothing unless you are willing to do your best."
"Perpetual Optimism is a Force Multiplier."
"The healthiest competition occurs when average people win by putting above average effort."
"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”
