I am doing the same project. I am doing a model timeline of when the wall was only barbed wire to destruction I am using plaster of parris. So at the end I can damage it to make it look al though it is falling down. I am also putting graffiti on one of the sides and leaving the other side clean. I am making guards out of clay and the lights out of clay. I hope this helps you either use this idea or to come up with you own.
