Believe it or not it had one of the greatest impacts of any invention ever created. You see light bulbs not only lit up the world but they also were a leading factor in the study of electricity. After people found out the benefits of electricity, countless other inventions were eventually created because of it, motors, computers, electronics, etc. Basically anything that uses electricity is somehow related to the invention of the light bulb. Plus it also had benefits such as there was now a large demand for electricity which creates thousands of jobs. It allows farmers to grow more food per acre of land, it gives doctors more tools to save peoples lives with, etc.
