The 19th century is said to be the greatest century ever. So much social reform, social changes and great events happened in the 19th century.
Over a period of 17 years, Napoleon became a prolific character in history. He was declared Emperor of France in 1804, and subsequently began a campaign across Europe. The Battle of Trafalgar was fought in 1805, which led to Napoleon capturing Vienna in 1809. The Battle of Waterloo commenced in 1815, which led to Napoleon's exile, and eventual death in 1821.
A major event that has shaped our culture today was the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire in 1833.
