John F Kennedy was one of America's most popular and well reputed Presidents. Airports, universities and bridges have been named after President Kennedy.  In the December of 1963, soon after his assassination, New York International Airport came to be known as John F. Kennedy International Airport .Previously it used to be referred to as 'Idlewild', today it is popularly known as JFK. The launch operations centre at NASA; located at Cape Canaveral was rechristened the John F. Kennedy Space Centre. An interstate highway connecting Baltimore Beltway to State line, which had been dedicated to Kennedy just a week before his assassination came to be known as the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway. Among other things, a U.S.Navy aircraft carrier, Kennedy's library, a school for adult education, a performing arts centre in Washington, D.C, hundreds of schools and a bridge across the Ohio river are named after him.
