Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States and his government was from 1801 to 1809. A number of significant historical events happened at his times. Such as Louisiana Purchase and Lewis and Clark Expedition. He was also the author of the declaration of independence. He was one of the founders of republicanism in the United States. During his government Ohio was admitted to the Union.
