The Alamo, Yes, but it wasn't just the Alamo that was the historical event. The Alamo was a pivotal turning point the Texas Revolutionary War against Mexico. We, Texans, were defeated at the Alamo in a Battle that lasted for 13 days and ended in death for all the Texans that were fighting, which numbered less than 300 against a Mexican force of over 2000. After the Alamo Santa Anna was taken prisoner at San Jacinto and surrendered the Mexican Army thereby ending the War and earning Texas its Independence from Mexico.
