PHILIPPINES. As a Catholic nation we observe Christmas season with so much joy and excitement in our hearts, traditionally the season starts on September and ends on the first week of January. We have a "Misa de Gallo" or Early Dawn Mass (4:00 in the morning) celebrated in all Catholic Churches across the country which starts on the 16th of December until the eve of December 24 we call this a Novena Mass then after the mass lots of native delicacies lined up the churches which we can buy for breakfast. Christmas celebration in the Philippines is merrier where people in the neighborhood especially in the provinces roam around the street for caroling. After Christmas eve mass we would gather for "noche buena" or midnight festive meal, relatives and friends usually come together to join the fun and celebration.

The Philippines has the longest christmas season in the world.
We officially start our "Christmas Season" every December 16th because it's the start of our Misa de gallo but in reality almost all Filipinos start planning for their Christmas celebrations in September. The Christmas Season officially ends every January 6th.
