What Are Your Plans For The Easter Weekend?

Easter and my birthday fall on the same day this year, so I'll be spending it at home with my family and enjoying a slice from a birthday cake along with all the chocolate eggs. I live in a different city than most of my family, so the long-weekend is a good opportunity to take the train back home and spend a few days detached from my busy routine at work.

We usually only have immediate family over on Easter Sunday, such as my mother, my sister, my aunt and my grandmother, so it is a fairly small group. Painting Easter eggs, however, is a long-standing tradition in our family. We usually paint the eggs the day before and tend to use pastel colours. For our Easter lunch, we prepare smoked ham, with potato salad, eggs, vegetables, a selection of breads and, of course, dessert.

We also usually go to Mass, either for the Easter Vigil, or the Sunday service. This year, it will probably be the Easter Vigil. We will be going to a small, university chapel near our home and this is also a great opportunity to chat with some of our neighbours, friends and--in my case--former peers who also attend. After the Vigil, there is a little "after-party" and reception organized for all, with some good wine, tasty snacks and great company. Happy Easter to all!

Like everybody else I would like to enjoy this day to its maximum. I have plans to go out, meet my old friends, and make some new friends as well. I would like to go to my uncle who loves me a lot and cares for me very much. He is a computer architect. He has a very good designation in his company. His earnings are great and he has a big house where there is a room to play for kids. There are a lot of toys and games available.
I would like to receive chocolates and chocolate coated eggs from my uncle and eat it all the day. Then I would like to go on rides where we went last Easter.
My cousins enjoy my company too. We all play together and have fun when ever we get together.
(These are the comments and plans from my son)

Is it not great there is a lot fun at this age and by the time we are among grown ups, we lose interest in such occasions or festivals. Our preferences change with the passage of time but I like kids and people enjoying themselves on such occasions. So you all should also have good time and enjoy such days.

I am going on a well deserved break to the Island of Malta to meet up with some old friends, from my old city.
It should be fun, and I hope to lie in the famous Maltese sun, swim, walk, and roam around, exploring all the facets of this island. There is a thriving film industry there, as the vegetation and landscape can be adjusted to suit many film sets. The languages spoken are Italian and English, so I should be fine there.
I hope to eat nice food, I have advanced word of food preparations taking place on my behalf, so I look forward to eating someone else's food for a change. I will, as usual, come armed with a few good bottles of my favourite red wines,
which I pride myself on acquiring.
It is without doubt, going to be a relaxed time, we have in our group two (maybe more) musicians at least, so there will be fireside singing and guitar playing.
What more could you want?
thanked the writer.

I do envy your trip to sunny and warm Malta! As a matter of fact, I even quite envy all my fellow blurters from the UK, who will enjoy nice, green grass for Easter! We just got a fresh layer of snow yesterday here in eastern Canada, so I am afraid we will be having a white Easter this year! In some ways, it almost feels like Christmas all over again! :-) Have a great trip!

I plan to reflect on the reason for this Easter season. Do extra bible reading and truly remember Christ as my one and only SAVIOUR.
