Did the Turks overcome the allies in the Battle of Gallipoli? Were there any casualties?

I don't know if you could say that the Turks overcame the Allies, but they were entrenched and held them off with heavy casualties. One of the biggest mistakes the Allies made during WW1. Both sides took heavy casualties and the Allies finally withdrew.
