Culture is the values, beliefs, behaviour and material objects that together form a people's way of life. So there are basically two sides of culture, the non material culture, which is the intangible ideas created by members of a society and the material culture such as the tangible things created by members of a society, everything from armaments to zippers. Your question is rather tricky for non material culture means a society's commonly held beliefs, ideas and values. However if you have to portray the non material culture of a society you can always depict the ideas or values of a society in photographs. For instance yif you're talking about altruism in a certain culture you can always show it by a picture where one member of a society is helping another, or maybe a picture where someone is in dire need of help and others are quietly standing around, oblivious to the former's trouble. In the same manner you can photograph the members of a society indulging in various activities and show their non-material culture through photographs.
