And today there are 54 countries in the British Commonwealth. So the sun still never sets on that great Union of nations.

Sure is, Rooster.

On the other hand, English scriptwriter, Frank Muir, told the story of a soccer referee who took his young son to watch him refereeing a match with the boy's favourite team.

And he stuffed it.

He made so many bad decisions that the boy's team could have been justified in thinking he was playing for the opposition and was upset that the kid wouldn't talk to him on the way home.

Later that night he tried to pull his son onto his lap to give him a cuddle but the kid said, "Get away you old goat," and stormed out of the room.

Why?

Well, the son never sits on a brutish umpire.
